Advaita 2017 was a huge success with overwhelming participation of more than 3,500 teams from all over the world. Advaita 2018, now in its 6th year, aims to achieve the vision to converge ideas on managing businesses and solving business problems, thus the theme “Transforming businesses” coherently speaks of the ways to add new propositions, by providing a platform for exchange of ideas.
In association with IL&FS, Wellocity was a case competition to provide a market entry model within the selected segment through prudent capital investment. Winning business plan pitched for pitched bringing quality healthcare to tier 2 & tier 3 cities.
Hosted by Uber, this competition aimed to tackle new age marketing problems faced by the tech company . The first round consisted of a marketing quiz to test the skills of participants followed by a case competition with the finalists presenting to Uber leadership panel.
Sponsored by SREI, this Business plan competition was designed to ensure participants gain relevant knowledge on key drivers of the industry and a better perspective on how large-scale projects are planned in the sector.
Powered by Optum, this competition was meant to tackle issues faced by Optum in the US healthcare insurance industry which was plagued by rising costs and political instability. The teams of 2, submitted an initial deck and shortlisted students were made to present their analysis and recommendations to the Optum panel.
For those looking to make an impact on society, Urbanomics was designed specifically to cater to sustainable development requirements of ever-growing Indian metros. Students were required to present a idea for a green city after being shortlisted through a quiz testing their knowledge on energy and Infrastructure.
Sponsored by Tech Mahindra, this competition focused on the operations sector. The company sought after solutions to improve operational efficiencies faced by Tech Mahindra. Students, after clearing an initial quiz and presenting their initial solution faced off a panel of Mahindra leaders.
In the first of its kind event in Advaita, the top brass of Matrix presented students with the challenge that Matrix cellular was facing and required them to find new areas of growth and revenue given some constraints. Students were required to produce a 3 page summary followed by a presentation.
In partnership with Pindfresh, Maxima provided an opportunity for participants to devise a launch plan for a new product or service that was being crafted by Pindfresh. The winner's strategy was used by Pindfresh.
A business case competition wherein participants ideate on products and solutions. The idea is to how their solution will enhance the level of menstrual health, hygiene and awareness in the country and present their roadmap.
Winner, Consilium 2016
Consilium was one of the most challenging and interesting competitions that I came across during my year at ISB. The problem statements were very well composed and close to the real world. The case analysis required us to draw upon the diverse skill sets in our team and tested our abilities to the fullest. Working through it brought out the best in us and was also a lot of fun. The event organization at every stage was impeccable and I am glad that my team and I had a chance to be a part of this.

'Technovation' was more than just participating and winning the competition. Being a part of 'Advaita'was an amazing experience. It not only proved to be a platform to compete and network with students from across colleges, but also gave me an opportunity to explore the Ed-tech space and present recommendations to Telangana govt. officials and be a part of a Telangana govt education project.

Advaita was one of the most challenging and exciting competitions I participated in at ISB. Competing at home turf with top b-schools in the country was an unmatched experience. Innovative cases along with a renowned panel (government officials, industry veterans and professors) compelled us to push the envelope and apply our classroom learnings to a real life situation!
